Ages 4 to 12
Tenniskids
Learning through play using the KNLTB’s Tenniskids method. Your child plays on a court matches their skill level and moves up to the next level as soon as they’re ready—not just based on age. The coach determines the group assignments.
The colored areas show how big the court where your child is playing.
Kids' Tennis Ages 4 to 7
Kids' Tennis (Introductory Tennis) is for children ages 4 to 7 who haven't had much exposure to tennis yet.
Through simple, fun exercises, they develop their first ball- and racket-handling skills. Fun is the top priority.
Tenniskids Red up to and including age 8
In Tenniskids Red, children up to 8 years old continue to learn about tennis. They learn the basic skills related to movement and coordination.
They play with a soft red ball on a mini-court, take part in club activities, and play short matches with their team in the red league. They can also participate in Tenniskids tournaments, which often last only half a day.
Tenniskids Orange Ages 8 through 10
In Tenniskids Oranje, children between the ages of 8 and 10 learn new strokes and techniques that will eventually help them play on a full-size court.
They play with an orange ball on a three-quarter-size court and can compete in matches through Tenniskids tournaments or the league.
Tenniskids Green Ages 10 through 12
The final phase of Tenniskids is for children ages 10 through 12. Players continue to develop their techniques and tactics, as well as their athletic skills.
In the green category, matches get longer, and competitive tennis plays an important role. Children in the green category play tennis with a green ball on a full-size court
